The trumpet or cornet is the smallest member of the brass family. As with all brass instruments, the sound is produced by buzzing the lips into a mouthpiece. They both play the same notes and they sound virtually the same. In appearance, the trumpet looks a bit longer and more slender than a cornet. As the bending on the pipe to the third valve to the cornet is shorter than the trumpet making air travel faster so it is easier to learn for children, but the trumpet is easier to get a powerful sound from it.

One of Serenellini’s new model’s. We were proud to have the first models in the U.K. in 2018 to sell and demonstrate..These models are a favourite choice of professional concert players.
The smaller Sister version of the 120 bass Opera, this superb 96 bass instrument has been made to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Serenellini’s manufacturing, design and development.
The Cassotto Opera has been completely hand made in Italy using solid Cherry wood or solid Mahogany throughout. The reeds are hand made by Artigiana Voci. The ‘L’ shaped bass reeds give a fantastic amplified sound to the bass being very rich and warm.
With a sophisticated look this model boasts a new grill design, Ivory (pictured) keys or new striped Ivory keyboard, real wood throughout (including sharp keys) and hand engraved logo and registers. Combined with an unbelievable quality of sound and balance it is a fantastic model.
This instrument is available as a musette 8’8’8’16’ (MMML) or Piccolo 4’8’8’16’ (HMML) and in Mahogany / Cherry solid wood with the option of silver / gold accessories and Ivory or striped Ivory keys ..all the details can be ordered bespoke to your preference even the tuning.
